Behind The Book

In this article I have written all about J.K Rowling.  I used my own style of writing to write a biography about Joanne Rowling.

Joanne Rowling also known as J.K. Rowling was born July 31, 1965.  She is a British author best known for the Harry Potter series, a fantasy series about a wizarding school for witchcraft and wizardry.  The Harry Potter series won many awards and sold over 400 million copies.  These books have become one of the best-selling books in history.

While on a four hour delayed train trip from Manchester to London,  Joanne came up with the idea of Harry Potter.  While Writing Harry Potter her mother passed away, after suffering from multiple sclerosis.  The death of her mother  affected her writing.

Joanne is one of the most well-known women in Britain.  Like many of us she has had her high and low points in life.  For part of her life she was living as a single mother on welfare.  During that part of her life, she was working on the first book in the Harry Potter series in 1990.  After many rejections, the book finally started selling.  For that book the target audience was young boys.  She feared that they wouldn't want to read a book written by a woman.  So Joanne used her pen name J.K Rowling.  Using the "k" from her paternal grandmother, as she doesn't have one.  For most of us we may not even know the name of the author.  For example, many people know Joanne Rowling as J.K Rowling, some people didn't even know her name was Joanne.

In 2013 Joanne got hooked on crime fiction.  In April of 2013 she released a Novel called Cuckoo Calling, she Wrote it under the pen name Robert Galbraith. In July her real identity was discovered.  According to Bloomberg News Joanne said, "I had hoped to keep this a secret a little longer because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience."

Joanne Rowling A.K.A J.K Rowling or Robert Galbraith, is one of the wealthiest women in Britain.  By the summer of 2000, she had earned $ 480 million off the copies of her first three Harry Potter books.
