Today I wish to inform you of a cause very near and dear to our hearts, The Conservation of Magical Creatures. Every year nearly Five whole magical species go extinct. Our hope for this article is to save magical creatures if even a few, by informing the public of this troubling issue we think that it will raise awareness and hopefully save some lives. Today I will be talking about ways to help these poor creatures and educating you of the many different species of creatures as well as how to identify them.

 

There are 5 main types of magical creatures
- Sentient beings (Sentience is the capacity to feel, perceive, or experience subjectively. Ex: Goblins or House Elves)

- Non / Semi-Sentient beings (by comparison the incapacity to feel, perceive, or experience subjectively. Ex: Hippogryphs or Owls)

- Predators (any organism that exists by preying upon other organisms. Ex: Dragons or Lions)

- Prey (an animal hunted or seized for food, especially by a carnivorous animal. Ex: Nifflers or Demiguises)

and finally the main reasoning for this article

- Endangered (an animal threatened by a danger or with extinction. Ex: Phoenix's or Swooping Evils)

 

Endangered Species are fairly common in the wizarding world as only a select amount of the population of earth is aware of them, there are not many initiatives for protecting these animals. Like that “ fly “ you swatted last week, it was a Fairy.
